Yet many individuals and families have not had access to financial education at home or in school, including guidance around budgeting, building credit, saving for emergencies, or planning. 

At Rocky Mountain Communities, we believe affordable housing is the foundation for upward mobility and community is what helps people flourish. 

Rooted in the culturally vibrant West Colfax neighborhood, a powerful partnership grew from a shared belief: that everyone deserves more than just a roof over their head. Everyone deserves dignity, empathy, and opportunity. 

On August 20, 2025, at RMC’s main office, longtime friends and supporters gathered for an unforgettable evening of reflection, shared stories, and laughter as we celebrated 33 years of Rocky Mountain Communities’ history and impact. The evening honored the pioneers who laid the foundation for our organization.

Rocky Mountain Communities, in partnership with Evergreen Real Estate Group and Globeville Elyria-Swansea Coalition (GES Coalition), is excited to unveil details on one of our latest developments that will break ground soon after the closing scheduled in mid-Spring. 

We are thrilled to present our three new board members Christi Smith, director of Rocky Mountain programs at Enterprise Community Partners; Charles “Chuck” Wehrwein, executive vice president of business enterprises, innovations and strategic partnerships at Housing Partnership Network(HPN); and Kyle Henderson, principal at Southpaw Development. Each bring a wealth of experience and passion to our mission. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise will be instrumental in driving our initiatives forward.
